The details and content included in the sustainability report may vary according to the specific needs of the company.
However, 3 areas are to be analyzed when preparing a sustainability report: Governance, Environmental and Social.

Governance

Corporate governance refers to the structure and decision-making processes within the company.

In a sustainability report, the area of governance may include:

    Risk management: how the company identifies and manages business risks, including financial, operational, legal and reputational risks.
    How it communicates critical issues and remediates any negative impacts.
  • Stakeholder approach and involvement.

  • Material consumption, percentage of certified and recycled materials, reduction plan;
  • Water consumption and reduction plan;
  • Waste generation and reduction plan;
  • Biodiversity: any significant impacts and their management

Social

Social sustainability focuses on the impacts of the company’s activities on employees and the surrounding community.

The company will then have to report in the area of:

  • Employee relationship management: presence of effective and timely communication tools.
  • Health and Safety Management;
  • Training and education;
  • Diversity and equal opportunity; nondiscrimination;
  • Community relations: Interaction and collaboration with local communities affected by the company’s activities, including corporate social responsibility programs and community development initiatives.
